I don't know this word, but nevermind... My hidden agenda will get him Wink

The sound comes from the player, not the equipment. You can get a wonderfully heavy guitar tone with a Telecaster and a Twin Reverb...

A "proselytizer" is one who attempts to actively convert someone to their religion.  Wink

I'd still like a perf layout, can't twist any arms here?  Cool  Never got around to trying the turret circuit yet.

The perf looks pretty much exactly like the pcb, I did mine a little spaced out so it'd be picture friendly, there's a build thread in the beginners section. Still gotta shrink it and mod it with the clipping diodes.

Not sure if you're still looking for a perf layout, but I tried my hand at this.  I *think* it will work, but if anyone else wants to look it over and chime in, that would be great.  Parts numbers follow the V2 schematic, I forgot (as usual) to include them on the layout when I exported the image.  If you build using this layout and it works, please let me know.  Thanks!

"Woot" as the kids say nowadays.  Cheesy  I think this is my 2nd try at a perf layout.  First one (Tim E's Push Me/Pull You) looked almost identical to the schematic, and was kind of sloppy.  And it didn't work.  Been trying to learn how to do layouts (mostly vero) and am stoked to apparently be getting it.

I finally built this!  And put a BM tone control on it, 6 months after asking I know how to do this now lol.  Did it without the clipping diodes, it's nice and soft-fuzzy (but fairly high gain) at low vol.  Gonna ramp it up with the big iron tomorrow, but I'm extremely impressed so far.  I could see going to a more complex tone stack and maybe some diodes on a switch, it's worth experimenting with.

Cool,I think everyone must try this at one point...Just to see how good something so simple can sound.
I see people building Electra based ODs alot.
My version uses two Rangemaster based stages with the shunted diodes in between the two stages.
Still expirementing, but a single RM with the input cap chosen for a fullish boost and clippers at the output sounds really amazing IMO
So I have no doubt the Babylon Fuzz V2 sounds really good as well.
